with information, activities, and a little humour
This website is an eclectic collection of facts, opinions, tools, tips, techniques, and general spiritual bric-a-brac that I have collected - and continue to collect - because of my personal journey toward wholeness. Along the way, I have tried to help others as well as myself. So parts of the collection have been tested 'under fire' and found useful - or usable with caution. I should say that as an avid reader and explorer of 'concepts', huge numbers of people have contributed to my current views and techniques.
In my practical healing and whole-ing work, I am always searching for a workable, model. There is so much that I don't know about how healing works - how it comes about - that probably I will never know (in this lifetime anyway). Plus my own spiritual journey is far from complete - in fact it feels as though it's just starting a new phase with this website and blog as key parts.
My theory - my 'model of how healing works' - is constantly under review and revision as I explore what does and does not work for me and others. The concern with searching for a 'model explanation of how life works', and pretty much every other approach to health, wholeness and well being, is that we are all such unique individuals. What works for me and mine, might not work for you and yours.
I can only suggest that we approach this work in a spirit of open-minded seeking. Of continual conjecture, and with much testing of the current theory under various practical circumstances. Hopefully we learn then to keep what is valuable and discard what is not.
I am reminded of the words of Horatio W Dresser (Editor of The Quimby Manuscripts, 1921) who said:
"IDEALLY speaking it is of secondary consequence where an original mind begins to investigate human life. What signifies is the searching thought which discloses real conditions, laws, the causes of our misery and the way to freedom. Such thinking is likely to be productive in high degree if it be concrete, adapted to the actual state of the world, without too much theorizing, with a view to direct benefits."
That seems like a large part what I'm trying to achieve through my personal growth and this website: to investigate human life and share the results as techniques and information - 'tools for living'. And to identify those principles that are seemingly changeless - 'laws for living'. You and I can then decide what works for us in our particular circumstances.
I am not an 'old hand' at this, but if you are new to spiritual exploration and growth, a word of caution. This healing and whole-ing is not easy work because often you find yourself swimming against today's all-persuasive tide of pill-popping medicine and media-driven values and standards. Lifting the lid and peering inside doesn't always make for comfort; especially when you are peering into the inner recesses of your own being! Having the courage to peer with honesty is hard work, and I am full of admiration for those people who do better than I.
Often I find the need to leaven my 'spiritual bread' with a little humour - to take a wry look at life. Roseeta and her pals are one means by which I achieve some lightness. I hope you enjoy her 'stories' too.

and Carolyn Ford is?
Ah, good question. Maybe you can learn more about her on the about page but then again maybe you'll have to wait a day or two.
